Banorte has fully adopted the capitalization requirements established to date by Mexican authorities and international standards, so-called Basel III, which came into effect in January 2013.
In June 2022, Banorte was confirmed as Level II - Domestic Systemically Important Financial Institution, which implies that Banorte must maintain a capital buffer of 1.20 bps. Therefore, starting on December 2022, the minimum Capitalization Ratio required for Banorte amounts to 11.70% (corresponding to the regulatory minimum of 10.5% plus the constituent capital supplement to date).
